What’s the song about?

It’s about the unease about the world — the feeling of the barbarians already being inside the gates. Kind of like the fall of something beautiful. The song is celebrating that beauty.

How did it come together in the studio/production?

It’s instrumental. There’s a vocal sound but it’s actually an instrument that just sounds vocal-like. I like a slightly rough bass combined with prettier overtones, and that’s what I went for here. I also used moving drum sounds to vary it up and make it interesting.

I like when the “hey” and “woow” kick off the more exciting part of the song.
